In the US we get Dairy Milk, Caramello, Roasted Almond, and Fruit & Nut. We don't get any of the other ones.

My package is there. Now the post only has to transfer it from my parent's place to mine.

Urk, I made a neat little video, but Youtube won't accept because :reasons:.

It always says "uploading error" - I wonder if it has something to do with my internet.

WHOOOPS my bad. I got my super sexy secret santa Celestia gift just in time for Orthodox Christmas but I forgot to post about it.

Without further ado:

Also, I got copies of some underground indie game called "Saints Row 3", and some game called "Ys" which is an unfortunate name, but I still can't wait to play it (once my goddamn fucking desktop starts working).

All in all, pretty sweet xmas for me :3:

Hey guys! I just got back from El Salvador and how is everybody do-

What's this?

Image

I received a package! :awesomedash:

What could it be? :allears:

Image

Well that sure is unhelpful... :-/ Hmmm...

Image

OH GOD IT'S A BOMB :flail: :twonk: Oh wait it's just a bit of paper.

But not just any bit of paper!

Image

It's a magnificent picture of me-eerrrrrrrr I mean Fatkid! Sitting in a comfy chair! Reading a Dungeons and Dragons handbook! Surely planning out some fun and death filled dastardly adventures for the band of would-be-adventurers he DMs for! How amazing! :ohboy:

Wow! Time to figure out a place to hang it up!

I suspect I know who my Secret Santa is but I'm not sure, but I'd be totally fine if he or she stepped right up to receive his rightful applause for this fantastic bit of work. Certainly made my day! Many thanks.

At long last it's time to reveal what trinkets may have arrived to me in December.

What is this? A package?

Image

Oh dear, it seems to come from colder climes...

Image

A veritable treasure trove of gifts! from my "assigned secret santa"!

Image

Quite a few things in here...

Image

Evidently containing "something I wanted" (which is also Canadian), "something I am desired to want"...

Image

"something I might want"...

Image

"something stolen from work"...

Image

and "something local, something book, and something horsie all in one"

Image

Well, let's take a look at present 1: a fine outing from Mr. Young indeed. It's also the 2009 Neil Young Archives remaster, too. :vogue:

Image

Present 2 is one which comes with great recommendations from my brother (when I told him about it; he knows about all these slightly obscure 1970s artists, and even recommended these guys to me once for my radio show)

Image

Present 3 is a fine piece that I should be glad to add to my collection. Even though I haven't had much so far, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Mr. Cash.

Image

Present 4 is a curious one, from one ScotiaBank. Perhaps the santa works in Calgary's Chinatown?

Image

Finally, Present 5 is an altogether wonderful curiosity that is indeed full of "horsie":

Image

In so doing, I want to thank my fantastic Santa for this wonderful set of presents. :ohboy:

"Van Der Graaf Generator" sounds intriguing. I'm looking that up tonight.

And Artificer's gift now closes a second circle in the daisy chain, with a whopping 4 members!

Cosmo, if you like that Van der Graaf Generator album, the next one you should try is Pawn Hearts. It's amazing. Also Harvest is a great album too.

Nothing for me still but that's okay. Shit happens and maybe the next Secret Santa will be even more awesome than this one was! I know stuff can get messed up for people sometimes and they can't always get things done.

You're very welcome Cosmo, I'm so glad you're happy and I hope you enjoy. :twasnothin:

This was my first internet Secret Santa and I was a bit nervous being paired up with The Big Boss. Especially a santee with such... specific tastes.
That right there is some of my most favorite music in all the world. I wanted to get you something you'd like, while still being a surprise. I'm glad I chose wisely! :-P

The calendar was a throw in - something they were handing out at where I used to work. It's from a Canadian bank, we're fairly multicultural around here, it was a lot nicer than the calendar for white people, and I thought you'd enjoy the sentiment. Comrade.

Lastly, the book had a lot of beautiful and colourful pictures of where I've gone hiking a few times. As well, it would have been a crime to let you get away without the minimum amount of horsie :3

It was a ton of fun putting it all together for you and I look forward to next year! :pinkietoot:

Gather round everyone. Let's all sample some Van Der Graaf Generator.

Is the thread going to stay open a while longer? Just curious.

I hope I'm not the one who had things returned on them, everyone here knew I was supposed to get a package and the post office flat-out told me that they weren't holding any mail for me. If someone lied to me I'll be furious. I wouldn't want my Santa to have gotten screwed around either because that would be massively unfair for them (and according to the rules they would have the right to not send me anything, either).

I have literally no idea whether my Santee ever got theirs, or if it's in the process of being returned, or if it's stuck somewhere in limbo in one of the postal systems. I wish I'd paid for tracking, and feel incredibly guilty about not doing that. :fluttersmith:

Mine's deliverance was confirmed by Amazon, but my santee never posted anything and I'm worried. I also need to call the guys delivering my present, I think it's still stuck in their deposit without ever trying to deliver it. On the other side though, my santa gifted me Borderlands 2 through Steam, and it's very appreciated. Thanks a lot, AnotherBrickInTheStall! :allears:

Ask and you shall receive! Don't assume this is 100% though, what with all the excess non-SS gifts mentioned here too.
italics are members who have confirmed sending gift, but not receiving one afaik. :fluttersmith:

Um, oops. I knew I was forgetting to do something. :modesty:

A smaller package also came a little after my WeLoveFine package that contained the shirt I wanted!

Inside, I found...

Image

A whole bunch of confetti? And a googly eye?

Image

pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffff hahaha

It had a nice Christmas wish inside. :allears:

Image

Also a chocolate thing that had come open in the package. I didn't eat it to be on the safe side. :nngh:

With some deduction I have concluded that my Secret Santa is blasmeister...? Sorry for being this late in posting about it. :modesty:
