Cubs win and are 5-1 against the Brewers so far this year! :yay:

Yu Darvish threw one of the sickest curveballs I've ever seen. 64 mph. :wowzers:

Brewers scored 2 runs in the entire 4-game series.

The Cubs have won 7 of 8 against the Brewers so far this season, with 5 of those being shutouts. :wowzers:

Cubs are in first place, hopefully for good now. I'll be at the game tomorrow, so I'm ready to accept the blame for ruining our undefeated homestand.

Hoo boy it'd be nice if the Cubs' offense would show up. They've averaged exactly 2 runs per game over their past 8 games, and are somehow miraculously 5-3 in that stretch.

Cubs are now 5-10 in 1-run games, 3-4 in 2-run games, and 4-4 in 3-run games. So they're 12-18 in games decided by 3 or fewer runs. They're 17-5 in games decided by 4 or more runs.

Frustrating as hell :ohrarity:

This one in the 6th inning

And this one to end the game in the 9th

also man the AL is so firmly divided between a few really good teams and a lot of really bad teams, the playoff odds graph is hilarious

Javy Baez just stole home for the 4th time in his career, the 2nd time this season. He's only 25 and he's already tied Rickey Henderson for career times stealing home.

I don't understand why you would downplay an amazing and rare feat in baseball, especially when he made an incredible slide to avoid the tag as well. A player has stolen home 7 times this season and Javy Baez is two of them.

The Marlins' attendance for July 4th was 7,572.

Every other Major League team outdrew the Marlins in attendance.

All 15 AAA games outdrew the Marlins.

4 AA games outdrew the Marlins.

2 high-A games outdrew the Marlins.

5 low-A games outdrew the Marlins.

Jeez, even our podunk rookie league team had a crowd 52% that size in the last home game on the 3rd. Admittedly that's not normal (it was an all-time record, hence why even I ended up hearing about it), but neither is a major league game being so poorly attended. :smirk:
