ITT Dex and I (and ToastGhost!) go to a gaming con

MAGFest, immediately outside Washington, is starting tomorrow. BronyCon has a table there and Dexanth and I are two of the staff members who'll be representing BC there this weekend.

But hey, that ain't gonna consume all my time there! I'm sure I'll find other cool, weird, or interesting stuff to comment on here. I'll also do my best not to get frozen by that scary bomb cyclone that's all over the news. Let's see what lies in store for me!

I keep saying I'm going up to DC, but technically I'll only be within DC proper for a few hundred feet of highway. Reagan is otherwise in Virginia and MAGFest is at a super fancy resort hotel on the Maryland side of the Potomac.

Anyway, I'm there now. It's cold

I know some of the Channel Awesome crew used to go to Magfest, including Todd in the Shadows. Don't think they've been since they moved to New York, though.

Phew, what a first day. For four hours I sold some badges, sold some more BC swag, and handed out even more promotional BC postcards, all while chatting with folks.

It's unbearably cold and windy outside, but thankfully I'm inside what is perhaps the ritziest hotel I've ever stayed at. With some other folks covering the table, I'll rest a bit and then hit the con floor.

When I first got to the hotel yesterday, I kept hearing bird noises but I thought they were just piped in for ambience. Turns out there are actually some real birds in here!

Well, MAGFest is all done, at least officially; most of us are leaving tomorrow, so there might be stuff to do tonight.

MAGFest was long and tiring, but it was way cool and a lot of fun. I enjoyed getting to tell people about BronyCon and in the end, even sold a couple badges. If BC comes back here next year, I hope I'll be able to take part in this again.
