Some guy plays Touhou (without ever played one) and pushes it as the hardest thing ever with "witty" subtitles. And somehow he picks one of the hardest ones in the series, and doesn't pick easy The thumbnail tells you everything you need to know
It's already hard for people to get in the series, being a niche type of game, and this kind of "lol so hard" garbage is not helping!
I'm getting that recommended too so I feel your pain mad surge
do you also get the "THIS IS LEVEL F***KING ONE??" one with the anime dog person with a lot of guns around them as their thumbnail because that looks dumb too
W-what
How can you be bad at level 1? The only way I can think of is purposefully running into bullets, or going for max difficulty straight away, which is the worst idea in the world

I lost at level 1 of Imperishable Night on the lowest difficulty, because I am horrendously awful at shoot-em-ups
because i watch feminist frequency videos sometimes, yt's algorithm will spit out suggestions for terrible mra misogynist bullshit at me occasionally. why yes, youtube, i can see how a video about the importance of quality representation of women in video games and a video about how women are actually subservient slugs to their fedora'd masters ARE quite similar, thanks for that!
although mostly i crush the algorithm because i play 10 hour long white noise videos all day long at work, to drown out other work sounds with my headphones. so 99% of the time it just recommends me videos of rain and fans and stuff, which i can live with.
I dislike when, after I watch a live performance by a group I like, I end up getting recommendations for that venue/talk show host as opposed to the artist/band.
haven't watched it personally, but from what i'm told, it's exactly as bad as it sounds from the title. it's a video made by a person who's unhappy that GDQ is trying to make an honest effort to cut down on hateful shit in twitch chat and stuff. Except instead of saying outright that they should be free to spout any hate they want, they couch it in specific wording to try and create an air of neutrality to what they have to say, as if "being a decent human being" is something you could have a reasonable debate about.
I got that recommendation also, likely based on the fact that I've been watching speedruns from AGDQ that I missed
It's basically the effect Background Pony described:

"It seems that GDQ has gone to extreme measures to make their audience and sponsors feel comfortable, but ironically in their pursuit of making everyone feel comfortable in being themselves they've actually alienated people. Many players feel like they are walking on thin ice because they fear breaking an unknown rule or being banned for life."
it's not a recent one (this was back in December 2016/January 2017) but when I was looking up that We Are Number One remix with Great Days from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, YT loved to try and recommend me some sort of mashup video of Diamond is Unbreakable and fuckhead, with a video called something like "Wall is Unbreakable" or some other garbage like that.
