I accidentally bought a romance graphic novel because I was careless reading the item description.
I only saw "Eisener-winning" writer, "witches" and a competent art style on the cover.
Now I regret reading it because it was cliche and boring as heck.
To be honest I'm not a super fan of romance elements in stories in general especially in addition with them revolve around teenagers.

Ever notice that some cartoons that's otherwise not all that good have excellent theme songs?

This is one of those. "The Mighty Hercules" wasn't exactly a great show, but the theme song (sung by Johnny Nash) is amazing.

The art style is cool too. It’s like they watched the Fleischers and said “what if Superman, but mini skirt” and I am definitely down with that concept

I have a vague, vague memory of this song from reruns on Channel 44 as a wee tyke, but I recall nothing about the show

Funny you said that, most of the show's staff were ex-Fleischer animators. Grim Natwick even animated a few episodes

Also, Bruce Timm's design for Superman was heavily inspired by Mighty Hercules (one of the show's staff had a tape of it, which he showed to Timm), so we have this show to thank for the 1990s Superman show.

I think as a kid I thought this sounded like one of those weird Christmas carols that my parents had on long-running medley vinyl records. Strange scratchy children's choruses singing songs that sounded like they were from an alternate dimension

It's a version of Oingo Boingo's "Forbidden Zone"
