i got a free game off the epic store, it's called Bad North and it's basically this

you're some soldiers (i assume vikings) on an island and these guys come on boats and try to burn the houses

it's i guess a RTS, but whenever you select a unit time slows down until you order them

inbetween missions you can upgrade them with the money you get from your houses not burning down
