I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the dislike was from people wanting to play as muscles mcbeefyboy for the third game in a row instead of a strong lady

A big part of it, IIRC, is that the game didn’t exactly launch well, and that poor launch poisoned the conversation around it even after thing were largely fixed in patches.

I saw a post on tumblr that claimed the only black character of infinity train was the villain whose crime was racism against humans. Is that in the ballpark of true?

i don't know, honestly. I don't remember anyone that fit that description in the first season and a black character was introduced in the last episode i've just watched, but i don't know anything about her.

i feel like the show just doesn't know what to do with itself now that we know what the numbers mean and what your purpose on the train is

and we have like this one plot thread left over from the previous season but i feel like it just isn't capable of supporting ten episodes

i dunno

on one hand i wanna see where that one plot thread goes, but on the other that just means watching episodes that feel like they lack substance

also regarding diribigal's question

she's the leader of a group that acts destructive and calls the creatures living on the train "nulls" claiming they aren't real and have no feelings. she and her group also believe the bigger your number the stronger you are. She only appears in two episodes and isn't really much of a villain, but it's still not a good look for the show, yeah.
