in dragonfall i finished the run MKVI

i was avoiding this one becuase when i first played the game i had a bad time, but things went well this time

in essence, it's not a hard level per-se but in my previous experience it can go wrong fairly quickly, in my first playthrough i burned through all my medkits and revive kits and won in the end by using overwatch combined with a choke point

i did the same this time, but this was the plan from teh start instead of an improvization

the other issue is that riggers are priority targets and you have to take them out immedietly, which means opening your team up for attacks

i feel having blitz and his drone on the team instead of dietrich helped

well turns out blitz is fairly useful and i'm bringing him along more now that i'm playing a mage

word of warning for anyone who intends on playing the game

the mission apex rising has a glitch where it could make you lose control of your units after which you can't end a turn or give orders

the "solution" is to save often and in a new slot, then reload if it happens

but, and this is also important, the game has a limit to how many saves it can handle, it's a lot but you can hit it if you keep making new saves often (this happened to me when i first played it), so be sure to delete the old ones
