Well he did give Palpatine emergency powers. Technically he's partially responsible for the death of more Jedi than the average Sith ever was.

This is the same man that saw models of Darth Maul and Darth Talon on a table together, walked over to them, pushed them together, and decreed it canon that they were friends, despite the two never having been alive in the other's lifetime.

I had to look up who that was admittedly, but all I needed to see was her picture before I thought "Yep, Lucas would see they look alike therefore friends regardless of timeline" that or his daughter.

it's like a dragster version of the cybertruck with blue flames, but since palpatine decides what's street legal the sheevmobile roars down highways killing younglings

Re: The Emperor Sheev Palpatine
I got lucky in that a buddy with Disney+ came to town over the weekend so I got to watch through episode 4. I was pleasantly impressed. It’s a, you know, the real deal.
Rogue One tried to be “The Dirty Dozen” IN SPACE! and while I don’t think the execution worked out, the concept was solid and I support it. It’s absolutely the sort of thing Star Wars should be doing.
As for The Mandalorian, it’s got worldbuilding but it isn’t ABOUT worldbuilding, if you get me, it’s about character and story. We learn about Mandalorian culture but it’s always for a narrative purpose, to explain why “Mando” does things or to provide context for his actions. Because this is a show about storytelling through actions. There’s dialogue, but much like Samurai Jack our main character only speaks when he has something to say, not because there’s an obligation to fill the space with dialogue. (Another comparison to SJ is how both shows manage to sprinkle the seriousness with cutesy or silly stuff, and make it work.)
Yeah IMO Star Wars is at its best when it’s adapting conventional stories, especially war stories, but IN SPACE! It’s basically what the whole thing is all about. The original film was “The Dam Busters” and “The Hidden Fortress” IN SPACE! Star Wars could be so easy — pick a WWII film and remake it in the space aesthetic, add Eastern mysticism for flavor — and whenever the series departs from this and goes up its own worldbuilding ass, or tricks itself into believing the Jedi are actually interesting, that’s where it stumbles.

something star wars needs to also do is dump "important characters" and let stuff work on its own
no, not everything has to be about the skywalkers or darth vader

We really need the RLM idea of Endor being a wasteland from Death Star debris and Palpy being a barely-alive corpse on a throne of sticks being sustained by corrupt devil-worshiping Ewoks.
That’s the Episode IX we both need and deserve.

The quoted articleBehind the scenes on the development of The Force Unleashed wrote: “The team threw a Hail Mary to George, saying the game would have more credibility if the apprentice had a ‘Darth’ title,” a Force Unleashed team member says. Lucas agreed that this situation made sense for Sith royalty, and offered up two Darth titles for the team to choose from. “He threw out ‘Darth Icky’ and ‘Darth Insanius.’ There was a pregnant pause in the room after that. People waiting for George to say ‘just kidding,’ but it never comes, and he just moved on to another point.”

How do I get in George Lucas' mind? Like I can usually empathize and get in the head of what a creator is going for, but with George, his ideas zigzag from good and bad and insanely stupid so much I don't even know how this man plans anything

The original movie (trilogy) was saved by his wife and other people who had the guts to rein him in. The original story is incomprehensible. I own the comic adaptation of that original script and I hate it.

Regardless of what any of you all might think of The Last Jedi, I could at least understand what Rian Johnson was going for even during the parts of it that weren't executed very well.

Oh I know and, to be fair, he has some fantastic concepts and story-telling ideas that I think are cool, but then he does things like Jar-jar and adding insanely convoluted political debate scenes or even convolutes a simple bet like the Watto and Qui Gonn scene in TPM. The man needs like 10 editors, and he can end up creating something pretty damn cool.

Just follow the Jenny Nicholson rule of naming sith lords: take a word from the dictionary that begins with "in-" and replace it with "Darth"

Re: The Emperor Sheev Palpatine
I looked up the force unleashed 2 cutscenes and I swear to christ there is a mode where you just go through the original trilogy and kill the entire cast including Obi Wan and Boba Fett.
Starkiller comes off more like someone's edgy oc and less like the character he actually was there and suddenly "Darth Insanius" makes a ton of sense. Just needed "Damaged" scrawled across his forehead here:
I think they made this DLC while doing crack and reading edgy fanfictions

DLC of the first one had you turning Luke to the dark side, and you killed Obi-Wan (by shoving him into the Millennium Falcon's active engines) and Boba Fett (by redirecting his own missiles at him), yup.

Why can't I get a star wars game that's more like Devil May Cry? Fallen Order now gives us Star Wars game that's like Dark Souls/Sekiro. Force Unleashed was God of War star wars game. Dark Forces was Doom star wars game. We need a DMC star wars game game now.
