The Round Stable

Eaters! Have you seen these people? Out at a restaurant, picninc, or ballgame? Taking a bite of solid food, masticating it into a saliva-moistened bolus? Total eater move.

Then there are the drinkers. Oh, man, drinkers! With their consumption of liquids! They’ll get it from a glass, a mug, a bottle, canteen, jug, stein, wineskin, or their cupped, bare hands if they have to. Why? Oh, it’s always for “refreshment,” or because “it tastes good,” or because “tissue hydration is necessary to sustain vital bodily processes.” Classic drinker line!

These two camps will probably never fully understand each other. But at least they’ll both find something to like today on Meh.

For the eaters, our mess kit and assorted accessories to help them chomp, chew, and chow down any time, any place, from the break room to the back country. “Ooh, look at me; I’m impaling hunks of cooked meat and vegetables on this compact ‘Booma’ eating utensil and forking them into my mouth for grinding between my teeth, which makes for more efficient digestion in the stomach,” they’ll probably say.

Meanwhile the drinkers are like “hey, I can brew tea or coffee in this ‘FlexWare Kettle’ while camping or traveling, and transfer it to a ‘Double-Up Cup’ for easy pouring down my throat! I sure hope the automatic closure of my epiglottis occurs as normal, so I don’t experience pulmonary aspiration!” Drinkers so crazy.

Who knows why some people are eaters and others are drinkers? Is it genetic? Something about the way they were brought up? We’re not likely to find the answers in our lifetime. The best we can do is make sure implements are made available for all.

And maybe the two types can occasionally get together over, like, I dunno, yogurt.
