Ah, yes. Hello new furry thread! I don't really have a fursona, mostly because all of the characters I'm working on are all on the feral side of the furry spectrum. I'm in the process of writing a story featuring them, but I'm a very slow writer, so who knows when I'll have anything worth showing.

Put Ember in there as well because back when she was introduced I remember a bunch of the fandom melting down over her being "too" anthro.

By that logic, wouldn't Spike, who was in the show since the first episode, be considered anthro?

Funny that you mention this, since in the leaked pitch bible, he was never meant to be anything such:
The way the show has him virtually always standing upright is definitely far less animalistic than Lauren Faust's original vision for him.

With that said, Ember is definitely closer to humanoid proportion-wise than he is. Compare:
Height-wise Spike is about 50% head, whereas Ember (ignoring her spines) is just under five heads tall. She also has proportionally longer legs, about 40% her height; not quite as long as a human's, but certainly longer than Spike's.

Another thing I find interesting is that they were going to have other Ponies be afraid of Spike because he's a dragon. That part definitely got scrapped before the show began; even Fluttershy, who's afraid of dragons, showed no fear of him.

Realtalk, the game is genuinely quite fun and definitely in the upper tier of 3D Sonics, it's just regrettably kinda short and thus I really have a hard time saying whether I recommend it or not; I'm enjoying myself quite a lot with it, love the dressup and enjoy replaying the levels for better ranks/times, but if you don't like replaying the 40 dollar asking price is not great value

Honestly I'm fairly sold on getting it once I have the money, it just might have to wait a month since my next paycheck is going towards a Switch and the paycheck after that goes to Sallie Mae. I lent my folks some money I never got back, though, so maybe if I can get paid back I'll use that money on Sonic.

I doubt I'll ever get it, but I was also never especially interested in Sonic games in general (like, maybe I'll eventually get Mania, but that's prob. about it). Hopefully it's at least something that Sonic fans can enjoy.

Of course right now I'm so perpetually tired from school being busy and a bunch of family stuff that I have not drawn anything or played any games for like a month, so maybe now's not a great time for me to think about games to buy
