who has the sweetest disposition

one guess that's who

who never never starts an argument

who never shows a bit of temperment

who's never wrong but always right

who'd never dream of starting a fight

who gets stuck with all the bad luck

no one, but donald duck.

I don't know why but this Hagar comic got that stuck in my head and I'm blaming you! Hagar!

Some movies, the funniest parts are the bloopers at the end.

So why not make a film that’s all bloopers

You shoot a conventional straight film, but the takes you keep are deliberately the worst ones. It’s in all respects a real movie with a plot and drama, except several times a scene somebody breaks character, laughs, swears or forgets their lines, and it keeps going. The whole film is patched together that way and it’s a deliberate aesthetic.

Then over the closing credits, for fun, you’d play the “outtakes” with correct versions of the scenes.

I know that, back in the late 1930s/early 1940s, Warner Bros. DID compile the funniest bloopers and edited them together. They were only shown for in-house staff, though.

The Looney Tunes studio even contributed to it:

I suppose you'd have to deliberately write a movie that, had it been made "correctly", would have been terrible, so nothing of value would have gone to waste.

Nothing is wrong with the '80s Windows ads that wasn't wrong with the '80s in general

Like, sunglasses lady rapping awkwardly about Windows 2.1? That's just what life was back then. You took it in stride, you moved on. We didn't know any better. We were too afraid that if we complained, disco would come back. We just didn't know.

80s magazine ads are the best though

like yeah, it's still ad copy, but holy shit, actual coherent prose paragraphs attempting to explain the benefit of their product and/or service

ironically a mid-80s (or hell, mid-90s) desktops was a signal of much greater wealth expenditure than a top-of-the-line phone today
