Watching speed runs is fun, but sometimes you just want to see someone program a tool to do stunts that would be difficult or even impossible for a human player to pull off consistently. Let’s watch some TAS videos and see some games get broken in half.



Juste Belmont cares not for walls :spike101: also, some of these warps have been incorporated into real time runs of the game over the years.

the 100% yoshi's island TAS has a lot of ludicrous simultaneous movement+throwing+tongue tech going for it which makes for a fun watch

It's not a funny one, but it's pretty awesome watching Celeste get played as fast as possible. The speeds are crazy, especially in the Mirror Temple.

This GDQ TAS run is pretty cool for a different reason. The run doesn’t start until 19 minutes in, but if you go to 14 minutes in, they spend some time demonstrating just how a TAS is created.

RC Pro-Am was one of my favorite games growing up. I'd occasionally do well enough to get the last car upgrade, but then the game would become extremely difficult and I'd lose after a few races. This TAS shows just how hard it becomes once you earn the final car, because there are times where the TAS just BARELY edges out the AI. Also, it's a bit disappointing to learn that this game doesn't have an actual ending.

Here’s a new 100% TAS of Metroid Zero Mission. This one is worth watching because you get commentary from the creator (Dragonfangs) on why and how the strats work, which is pretty rare for a TAS.
