Tyranitar rocks the most :maud:

Although I am also a fan of Rhyperior. :maud:

I haven't played since Red/Blue so I don't remember much, but I liked Geodude.

He then turned into Graveller and then Golem.

He was a rock type.

Are we supposed to pick from the duel type rocks as well, or did you prefer we pick from the single type rocks? :tom:

Of the pure Rock type, I kind of like Crainidos, but Sudowodo is also an interesting choice as well. If I can choose duel types though, I really like some of the fossil Pokemon like Omanyte and Archen. They're pretty cool rocks. :maud:

My Friend code for Pokemon Y has a rock type friend safari.

It has Dwebble, Corsola and Rhydon :maud: .

There are only 9 pure rock type Pokemon*, so I think dual types should count. :maud:

*Sudowoodo, Nosepass, Regirock, Cranidos, Rampardos, Bonsly, Roggenrola, Boldore, and Gigalith. :tom:

I would always pick Charmander because I could never stand to be super-effective against good old rock.

I don't think I've ever had a rock type in my party. They lack flexibility to adapt in most situations.

Tyranitar is an absolute must for any sandstorm team. And Rampardos tops every other Pokemon (save legendaries and mega evos) in attack power. :maud:

Rocks don't need to flex.

Rocks bend other things to suit them.

Rocks are hard.

Sudowoodo pretends its a tree and not a rock. Is this betraying its stony heritage, or is it an attempt at subterfuge?

I interviewed a Sudowoodo for comment - the audio is here. Results are... inconclusive. :maud:

Anyway, the best Rock-type is Omastar.
Sharp beaks ring its mouth. Its shell was too big for it to move freely, so it became extinct.
Keeping the needlessly heavy rock shell to the point where they all died. That's dedication.

I do have to say I wish Nintendo would remove the attack Rock Smash from the games, it seems needlessly violent. Or, at the very least, change the name. :maud:

Rock Slide, however, sounds quite fun. That can stay. :maud:

And now that I think about it, while there has been a suitable offering of rock-type pokemon, the titles of the games leave something to be desired. I understand that rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds appeal to those of the upper crust, but there has yet to be anything made for the commoner. Pokemon Granite would have been enough.
