So we're getting Season 10 after all

...in comic book format.

Let's hope that it will be more successful than Adventure Time's attempt with that format.
Adventure Time's Season 11 ended abruptly after 6 issues due to lack of demand, so I've heard.

So far only (and to my knowledge) Avatar The Last Airbender has a good success with that from all of the animated series although the stories aren't "seasons" but are seriously continuing the show's plot.
The other examples I can think of are on live-action TV shows (X-Files, Buffy), or one-off stories that don't have the ambition to continue the TV series (Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show), or movies (Back To The Future).

Huh. I'd hoped for more substance than just an announcement at NYCC. Maybe we'll hear more after the end?

Just to add to this: Andy confirmed it on his Twitter, too.

Though I've fallen behind a bit, I've really liked quite a few of the comics, so this is rad!

EDIT: I guess he confirmed it back on the 4th when this was first leaked, anyway, but still!

I figured they would keep going after the show ended but now they aren't tied down to the show's story and are free to explore new ideas. Like how the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog series was based off of two seasons but the comic series ran for nearly thirty years later. And they had some amazing and someone adventures.
