I forgot a wishlist! Let me rectify that.

1) Electronic gizmos and maker stuff! I've been looking at little robot chassis for an educational project I've been stewing on, like https://www.adafruit.com/product/3244, but there are plenty of cheaper options with a little searching. The main parts I want are the chassis, drive motors, and wheels, and I can handle the other bits more easily.

I'd also be down for some kind of "getting started with resin casting" kit.

2) Video games! Specifically, Dead Cells. I've been drooling over that for a good while now.

3) I'd be totally jazzed if, in lieu of a gift, you just sent me a card and donated to RAICES, the Trevor Project, or the ACLU.

I'm a lesbian who teaches at a high school with a lumberjack mascot, so literally anything in a plaid pattern is good. As per usual, my fragile California body is upset at the coming winter so warm plaid thingies, as seen on the above list.

As you probably know, I like birds a whole lot. I have a lot of stuff for some of my favorite bird types (toucans, geese) but I've had a hard time finding good stuff of my other favorite species (takahe, oystercatchers), if you stumble upon any of the latter, then great. Any sort of bird statue in general that I could stand up in my classroom is fine; I currently have an 8-inch seagull and 6-inch stellar's jay in my classroom window and they could use some company.

No jewelry, no sugary foods, no pony stuff, etc.

A SECOND PACKAGE HAS HIT THE DOORSTEP

I've got 2 mysterious packages arrived

A package arrived!

A package has arrived and I am very excited to open it on Wednesday!!

However, a small note:

As is often the case for those of us in the UK, I got hit pretty bad by customs, paying a fee of £25 (about $33+), even with it marked as a "gift".

To be fair, customs didn't actually open the package this time, instead taking the customs form evaluation of $105 (!?) at face value.

So, uh... I'm not suggesting anyone lie in future, but maybe try and keep the evaluation below £38 (about $48) if it seems feasible? (Based on the wording on the packaging, £38 is supposedly the current free limit on gifts coming into the UK)

(If the package really is worth $105, you've been very naughty, Celestia. But thank you, regardless of its value. )

I do believe I have receivinated my packages!

@Musings: Yeah, I've run into this before as well. Part of the issue for me has been that it's evaluated on value of gift + value of shipping - I don't think when it's gone over for me before it's been that over, but the Post Office charges a flat admin fee.

And of course, we're going to run into this from even more places next year! So yeah, might have to specify "ship directly from UK sellers if possible" then.

A second package has arrived

A package arrived at my workplace today, and it had a horsie butt symbol on it. I can only assume that it's either from my Secret Celestia, or that my mail is being tampered with.

In other more unfortunate news, due to a combination of circumstances mostly beyond my control I was only able to send out the package for my Secret Celestia today. This time I did opt for both tracking and air mail, as it turns out previous packages were sent by surface mail (Which explains why one of them took so long before) I'll be keeping a close eye on the tracking though.

Package has arrived!

I apologize in advance but I opened my package early. I had a sneaking suspicion one of my gifts would be related to me coming out as trans, and since I haven't told my parents yet, I didn't want to bring it up to my parents' house.

Anyway, here we go.



3 gifts. I should mention every single one had an extra layer of wrapping paper underneath that was MLP themed. And also had about 20 pounds of postage tape on it.



I got 4 more of these Glencairn whiskey glasses. My Santa did their homework. Most whiskey sommeliers use these for everyday use. The filled one was a glass I already had.



Lex Luthor's Granny's piss.

The jar kind of gave it away, and the smell did as well. This is apple pie flavored moonshine. I put it in the refrigerator to enjoy later.



I was right. And you very nearly made me cry. This gift... It really means a lot. I can't display it anywhere in my apartment until I can come out to my parents, but I will definitely do so when that happens.

No note with it, but my Santa was kind enough to tell me who they were. Special heartfelt thank you and hugs to Dong Strongly for the amazing gifts.

I'm glad you like your gifts! I have to give some credit to sparkledoe for helping me pick out the flag and pin.

I highly recommend cutting the shine at least 1:1 with water or something else because it's currently not too far removed from rocket fuel. It takes a special kind of backwoods to drink that stuff straight.

That pin and those other gifts are rad as heck, Snowfire!!

I'm looking forward to seeing all the reactions tomorrow and beyond!

A thing arrived! Rest easy, Santa.

While we're waiting, do you guys wanna play my video game? A throwback to pony christmas 2011 and holy feather that was 8 years ago?!?!

Alright, it's the 25th here and in our family it's apparently the tradition to open presents on Christmas eve rather than Christmas day. So the package I received has of course been part of this unboxing, and pictures have been taken.

As I said before there is a horsie butt symbol on it, as can be seen here. I tastefully censored both addresses by clever use of a remote control, and the box cutter is for opening packages.



Inside we find an envelope addressed to me, a pair of wrapped packages and some paper towels. I can always use more paper towels since I use it in the brush-cleaning process and for getting rid of water when applying decals.



And inside that envelope is a card in German. Considering the box also came from Germany this is no big surprise.



Inside the card however, there is a lovely picture of the best horse who appears to have a message for me. Automobiles, eh?



And underneath the paper towels is something that's been on my wishlist for quite some time! The Volkswagen T3 camper van! As promised, I will start work on this as soon as the Constellation I'm building is done, which should be relatively soon (I'm down to props, decals and detailing)



Also, it appears that my Secret Celestia has not forgotten about Lucas, as he got something neat too inside those packages: A car for him and a fabric ball with a rattler inside. He's already shown a bit of interest in the fabric ball, but I haven't been able to get a decent picture of him playing with it yet as it was already getting past his bedtime.



So thank you Raridotto and Fontrarity for these wonderful gifts .

As a sidenote, the box has provided and will continue to provide entertainment for Leo and Sheba as well as boxes are a cat's natural habitat.

Two packages arrived in the mail, and of course Marvin was curious.



Package one revealed CHOCOLATE!

With bacon and potato chips mixed in. Sweet and salty is my favorite!



In the other package, a hockey trivia book! I can spot the 3 errors on the front cover. Can you?

The questions on the inside are not as easy. I'm hoping some of these situations come up in my games so I can prove the refs wrong.



Finally, some warm and fuzzy Blackhawks socks! They're very cozy and are great for sliding around on my wood floors.

I've gotten those pigs n taters chocolates before, at Xmas no less. They taste like a good time in a bad part of town but in your mouth.

Next let's see what's in that flat box. Was a pain to tear open, I bet it was a pain to wrap!

Oooooooo a black dry erase board. Now I can color with my florescent markers, my dry erase crayons and colored pencils!!!


(The board came with a blue wet erase marker, but due to the cold weather in Colorado it froze and esplooded.
But no worries. Everything else still works!!!

ZIG Magaka Flexible pen and Rapidograph ink! I use them a lot for my comics, so having these is greatly appreciated!

I also got a buncha cool books!



"Liberty Meadows" was always a controversial comic strip. For something that was syndicated to newspapers it was full of sexual innuendos and sexy girls. However I never actually read the strip up close, so this book will be a good opportunity.



"Octopus Pie" is one of my favorite webcomics, and I've been slowly getting all the books! With this one, I think I only need one or two more to complete the set. Can't wait to read this!



These are two comics I've never heard of before (the one on the left was published by DC Comics of all the places), so seeing these is a neat treat!

So a package arrived a few days ago, with a whole variety of things inside!

Now, the exterior package was a box repurposed from a UK company, and the courier was one that isn't commonly used for international to UK deliveries, so right off the bat I had a pretty good idea who my Celestia was.


Somewhere else to forget about my change!


As thoughtful as this is, there is a slight issue with it - which would have been the case even with Banjo & Kazooie as well.

But at least now I've got one for my desk at work?







I didn't take a photo of the outer packaging for this one since there wasn't a message on it as far as I could tell.

Horsie Crimbo yaaay!

I got a package in the mail a few weeks ago now, it was a star trek mug!

A letter and another parcel arrived a little later and the return address gave away my santa, but thats okay, it was Mr Big! Same as last year too, which is amusing and great.



The book of this comic looks very interesting, I've only read the first dozen pages but it is right up my alley and I love the sticker and sketches of a fuzzy princess.

Thankyou again Charles, knowing you were my santa again I sent you a chrissy card but it will show up late, no doubt.
