no but really i kind of hate how they ruined it by making it a worse fyad and invited all the nazis in. it's not like gbs was the best thing in the world, but it had some choice threads and was something good to read if you just wanted to chill out and not worry about this broken hellworld we live in

QCS has actually been kind of entertaining as of right now cos the mods have been airing their dirty laundry re: Lowtax and how he was (not) involved in forums day-to-day running, both recently, in the recent past and back in the day when angerbeet was still admin. it's cool to sort of be able to finally peek back behind the curtain and find out the truth:

uhhh wait everything they've said matches up perfectly with the common public consensus that Lowtax mostly did nothing and admins/mods had no way to contact him and tried their best to work around him lest he show up and make announcements or other decrees where he dictates site policy, posts a thread to be lavished with praise from his sycophants, bans whoever says mean things about him since he's a thin-skinned moron who continually claims to be an internet tough guy and regularly insults others, and unbans terrible perma'd posters because they said nice things to him on his latest Gaming Garbage stream.

Honestly the GBS change was the beginning of the fall of SA for me. I stopped posting in there and stuck entirely with SAS. This whole shit with Lowtax is a great motivator to get me to move on from SA entirely.

Same for me. Seeing all the open bigotry in GBS made me give up on SA for three and a half years, and when I did go back, it was only for the GCCX and Newspaper Spider-Man threads, basically.

Now there’s a new GCCX sub team that’s independent of SA and I can read and talk about newspaper strips on Discord, which isn’t as good as a forum, but it’s a more LGBT-friendly channel than most spaces on SA are.

I’m sure Discord sells all our info to the NSA and ad agencies or whatever, in case the feds really want my opinion on “Mary Worth,” but there aren’t many other options I feel like taking right now. It’s not like I do anything but lurk anywhere anymore anyway.

I can’t even be assed to try to come up with absurdist shitposts any more, because I don’t think more than a couple of people even read them and most of you are funnier than I am, and I’m sick of “ironic” anything. I don’t even know why I’m here when so many posters I like don’t post here anymore. Perry doesn’t even post here any more. I lose my temper so easily and act like a jerk that it’s made me reluctant to talk to people until I get my shit back under control.

Yeah, same. I’ve been lurking SA since ‘04, made an account in ‘06 and then left the forums end of 2012 for the same reasons you mentioned. Just recently I got a new account because I’d heard that the place got better, but now this happened and welp, guess I financially supported a serial wife beater by doing so. Feeling super duper great about that!
