With all the weed we have, I don't think we'd want to help the coastguards of nearby nations to see our ports. If we're making a lighthouse, it should be purely a distraction.

Guys I have totally the coolest idea for our island, guys...

we get some dry ice and fake snow and make our winter really winter..y? Then on the first day of spring we wrap up winter and release a bunch of non native migratory birds into our island's delicate ecosystem.
