Oh boy, I'm excited for this again! I had a fantastic gift last time!
1) The first thing I really would like is something Obsidian related (the gaming company) I own New Vegas and KotoR 2 but that's it.
2) I'd love for another Pony shirt, preferably something inconspicuous. Shirt size Male Small ( favorite is of course Twilight)
3) I'd really like anything New York related, like a poster or the New York state flag.
A surprise would be awesome too!

Some people in here forget to add their favorite ponies when asking for pony things - Could you maybe add them? Just saying, it would be useful and all.

People asking for stuff related to their hobbies/interests, could you please be a bit more specific?
For example, asking someone who doesn't know anything about photography for just camera stuff, is about useful as asking for something green.

Re: Forumswide Secret Celestia X-Mas X-travaganza 2!
Guess I'd better get in on these shenanigans as well. I apologise once again, however, because this year's selection will be even more boring and practical than last year's.
- I could really use a decent headset. Since I don't do too much Skyping or the like, earphone quality is more important to me than microphone quality. But regardless, since I no longer have a headset, I could sure use a replacement. Wired is perfectly fine, and I have no preference between USB or 1/8" jacks or whatever.
- I could also really use a replacement messenger bag. I love my The Cheat messenger bag, but it's falling apart at the seams. And everywhere else, too. If possible, I would like Topshot's Derped messenger bag from WeLoveFine, but I know that's a bit above the limit. Any plain, light-coloured messenger bag would be fine.
- A small Monoprice graphics tablet would also be nice. Though I have to be honest and admit that this will technically be a gift for my sister, and not for me. I'm already planning to get one of the larger tablets with the programmable buttons and everything for Christmas. I was going to give my sister my old Graphire 3 tablet, along with one of those kid-friendly Toon Boom programs, since she said she was interested in art. But since the tablet is unlikely to have survived the flooding in my house, I can't exactly do that. If I find out before the deadline that my old tablet somehow survived, I will change this item to something else. I just can't think of anything else to put here, really. But if you could make my sister happy, you'd make me a lot happier than if you bought a gift for me.[/list:o]

Well, as the one who received your gift, I can say I taped a piece of paper over the addresses so I still didn't know who it was from until I opened it.Isaak wrote:^Last year Aramek sent me homemade jam which was absolutely delicious Also cigars which were awesome.
Re: revealing thyself: From what I remember I needed to put my return address on the package and the package was covered in Dutch markings, so I guess you could err... not look at the box
May I also say you hit the nail on the head with what you sent. My Dinosaur that you sent (I named him Max) is now sitting on the desk in my office at work delighting many people, and the Buddha is sitting on my desk at home.
This was my list last year, it really hasn't changed much so I'll just post it again.
This went so well the first time I'm happy to be doing it again.
Here are some ideas for me.
1. I totally love very random strange bizarre things. A hilariously bad movie, an entertainingly strange music album, or some weird pieces of art would be right up my ally
1.5. I really like hats. (7 ½) or “large” if you can even find a hat that has sizes under $25 (a trucker hat is fine too [see idea #1]).
2. I really like the music suggestion, and it's often a gift I get other people. Send me a bunch of music!
3. Here are things that I like: Pirates, Bears, Dragons, Sharks, (and of course Dinosaurs)
4. I love art, get people to draw me things! Draw me things yourself! It doesn't even have to be ponies, (see point 3)
5. Discord, I love Discord. To be fairly specific the happy prank playing mirthful discord
If pony is going to creep into my gift, my favourites are Discord, Spike, Derpy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie & Scratch.
*edit* Suggestion #1 is also the surprise me category. (it doesn't have to be bad!)
Seriously, I had so much fun with the first one. Not only by receiving my awesome present from Isaak,
But also running around putting together the gift for Treehouse Censor. I was more excited putting that together and awaiting his reaction than I was waiting to open my own gift!
Thanks once again willsun for hosting all of this!

This is my first time participating in one o' these Secret Celestia things. This year, I'm throwing my Santa hat in the ring!
Mechanical Ape's List
0. First and foremost, if a Santa has a surprise in mind, that's automatically more interesting than anything I could ask for.
1. I don't own any pony merch, but I certainly wouldn't be averse to getting some.
1a. Favorite pony is followed by
1b. Any shirts should be XL. I'm erring on the larger side since it's unlikely I'll be wearing pony clothing in public, so shirts will be for lounging-at-home-watching-ponies activity. To the extent this counts as an "activity".
2. I like food and I'm not allergic to anything! If it's sweets, then chocolate is good and caramel is THE BEST THING EVER, not really a licorice fan though. Most food items are good, but I'm not huge into hot sauce. I am a pretty big garlic fiend, however. I don't smoke so cigars would go to waste.
3. More to be added as I think of it! I swear I'll have more ideas in this space by the deadline.

Aww yeah. I'm totally in. This was fun last year, even though I spent an hour running back and forth across campus to deliver my gift that had arrived that morning in a package and I had to also catch a plane.
Favorite pony order!
Shirt size! Male Large
1. Computer gadgets and stuff! I guess if you can find a cheap-o but decent headset, that would be nice. Or perhaps something to help me take care of my laptop like a screen cleaner and stuff?
2. Warm stuff! I'm from San Diego and now I'm in Indiana and help I do believe my ears are falling off!
3. Pony stuff! Subtle things would be nice and I do have an over-abundance of shirts!
4. Whatever you think I would like! Use your imagination and if you've talked to me on the ~Internet~ then feel free to use that information! Don't send me something goony like a horse mask though.

THUS DRAGONGEM HATH DECREED THAT SECRET CELESTIA WAS GREAT AND THAT HE WOULD PARTICIPATE IN AFFAIRS
Looking forward to this. My three things:
1. Pony things are cool. I could use an inconspicuous pony shirt so I have something cool to wear to meets. (guess what my favorite pony is it's Appleja- no wait it's Pinkie Pie. TSparkle is second).
My shirt size is XL though L to XXL works on me
2. I like random trinkets from places. If you find a cool figurine/local trinket from where you live then it will gladly go on my desk of figurines and cool stuff!
3. I do a little origami on the side. Any random things you might think are cool related to that would own!
I can't wait till I get my person to give gifts to!

Re: Forumswide Secret Celestia X-Mas X-travaganza 2!
First, I'd very much appreciate it if the shipped package weren't covered in ponies and was essentially inconspicuous.
1) First, pony shirts: I own none, and while I would like one it'd have to be very subtle if I were to ever wear it, basically something that doesn't scream ponies like most of the shirts I've seen. Bonus points if it's something I could explain away as being a band (I lean toward metal/electronic music) shirt. In general I tend to wear shirts with minimal amounts of things on them, but as long as it isn't plastered with horses it's great. I apologize if that's a tricky thing to find, I haven't really looked into it myself. Shirt size is M, favorite ponies are foremost then a tie for second with
2) Mechanical Pencil(s): I am very particular about my writing utensils, in that I exclusively use really thin 0.5mm pencils with H lead. My favorite mechanical pencil is the Pentel P205, but really any mechanical pencil that thin made of a hard material without any sort of squishy grip is great (basically I like mechanical pencils that feel like thin pens/traditional pencils). In that same vein some method for holding an engineering pad in a professional/clean way would be a nice gift if you have any more of an idea than I do. I've been using a D-ring binder but it isn't perfect in that the D ring is at enough of an angle that it tilts the pad a bit. Not really sure what real engineers do with them, everyone I've asked just carries the pad around on its own.
3) A bit of a catchall - surprises are good, although I wouldn't want any pony toys (not my thing). Subtle MLP things I could throw on my messenger bag would be nice. I love coffee but I'm very particular about it, but if you have a really great local roast or something I'd try it (I lean toward rather dark roasts). You might not have guessed it but I kind of like Pink Floyd, so if you find something really interesting in that vein that'd be neat (just no shirts, I've got a bunch). Feel free to surprise me if you think you have something that would be really great. Oh, and I've never bothered picking up a desktop microphone if you really run out of ideas. I'd rather not have food but if you do make sure it doesn't have meat in it, I'm fine with animal products but I don't like things that required anything with a central nervous system to perish directly in order to make it.
I apologize for being so picky about things, I can be rather particular about things I use frequently.

I know there are ways for me to organize last year's e-mails and this year's e-mails into folders and all, but it would really help me save time and avoid confusion to get one from everyone this year so I won't be confused when I have to reopen stuff in Gmail and have to refer to a list since the mail "conversations" would date last year.Chunky wrote:e: Also I haven't moved anywhere do I need to send you another email?

I just went through and cataloged all the people who've sent me their info to my ponyxmas address, and we have 48 people in so far! Last year we had 55 total, and I'm noticing a severe lack of a lot of people who participated last year who haven't signed up for this year (and is still active around these parts!). I think if those people I'm eyeballin' join, we can easily top last year's number.
Also, I've sent some of you guys a reply e-mail to clarify certain information. If you've gotten one from me, it's most likely asking how to properly write out your address. Last year I took pains to make sure the way your address is written out is correct, and a LOT of you send me very interesting combinations on how to write them out. If you're a non-US person, please make sure you clarify for me the exact line breaks for your addresses and where to add commas, because while it's easy for me to figure out how US addresses are written, I can only assume the way you've written out is exactly how we should write it on the box for you.
Please take note that when I went through your e-mails, I have made the following assumptions:

Willsun, how do you do your random picking? Do you write some sort of fancy computer program to pick them for you? Throw darts? Draw out of a hat?!
How do you pick whom you get? Since you are running it, you know your target and everyone else's target, do you also know who gets you as a target? I forget how that worked last year. You don't abstain do you? That would be sad.

I skipped last year, and I regretted it after hearing the testimonials. Let's do this!
As for me:
1. Pony stuff. I already have a Pinkie ornament, a RD keychain, a McDs Fluttershy and the DVDs. I'm always down for surprises, toy or clothing or whatever. I wear XXL. (If you get me something fanmade, check and double check the artist isn't a creep or furry or anything like that.)
Topshot's new shirt in default blue is hella sweet: http://www.welovefine.com/3922-sweetie-bot.html
2. Your favorite music album CD(s?). If you like it it must be good!
3. Mark Osborne's MORE on DVD. I love MORE! Like, a lot!
a. No food for the most part, only because I want something I can hold onto as a keepsake.

To whoever just sent me their address without their forums name, I was unable to send a reply because it just simply failed. It was a Hotmail address. I have no idea who the heck it's supposed to be because it only included the person's real name. It's someone from Washington state.
I know some of you who've sent me e-mails but failed to post in this thread probably wrote what gifts you would like in the e-mail to me, but please post it in here instead. I don't simply forward your e-mails to your Santas and will probably only give them address information.
And for those of you who still have not e-mailed me, you will not be included in the event if I don't get one from you by the due date. Iransofarway, I received yours. Thanks.

Let's do this! I didn't participate last year, but enjoyed following along everyone's unboxings. Since I have some extra cash to spare this year, I'd like to join in the festivities!
Gift Ideas:
01. Pony stuff! I have plenty of shirts and toys, so don't worry about those. I would love some pins from PinFilly (I already have Discord and the zap apple). I am a sucker for pins and buttons.
02. Christmas ornaments! I already have last year's Pinkie Pie, but these are cute too. Or, better yet, something unique that represents where you live! If you're overseas, across the country, wherever, I'd love to have something from where you're from.
03. Microsoft points are always good. There are always new games and DLC being added to XBLA that I want, so any points would be much appreciated.
Oh, and feel free to make me a mix CD of your favorite tunes. I'm always looking for new music.

Oh my gosh, thank you for posting this! I got Fluttershy cutie mark and fancy yacht at Bronycon but had no idea where they came from. These things are so coolSuper Karoru wrote:PinFilly (I already have Discord and the zap apple).*

Are those, like, legit pins? Not "picture on a round button" but an actual "can put through your suit's lapel" pin?
There was a link here, it's dead now and I'm sad.

They are indeed real pins! Here are mine, pictured with a penny and Rarity for scale/fabulosity:Aramek wrote: *breaks into a cold sweat*

They're real nice. I really wanted the stained glass Discord but by the time I found where people were getting them from all they had left was Fluttershy and Cheerilee cutie marks (the yacht was from a different vendor)

Yeah, those pins are great. I got a couple on Bronycon (the CMC logo and Fluttershy's cutie mark).

I am now encouraging anyone who is paired up with a person who did not post what they would like for Christmas in this thread to send those people coal. Raganti and logicow will not be participating if they don't send me their address (and preferences for int'l/packaging) by the end of tomorrow.

I usually get crappy stuff that I never wanted (once I got a dictionary and pencils/school utilities for my birthday... )
But:
*if you buy a shirt, preferably be a L size shirt*
1. Pony- Preferably something along the lines of AJ-related merch
2. Star Wars- Anything non-Prequels related. Could be a badge, sticker, or anything.
3. Spider Man- Eh, you can probably find something at a Disney store (since Disney owns Marvel)
EDIT: IMPORTANT: Please don't send something that is fragile or takes up a bit of space. I'm studying abroad and the last thing I want is to be irritated by is packing my bags at the end of the year to return home (since I may not even stay here after this year). *Preferably something small, please*
