Oh god, thanks for reminding me when my copy of Pokémon Blue glitched out on me (due to too much cartridge blowing ) and I wound up having to restart the whole thing.
I had a Lv 73 Blastoid and almost defeated the last gym boss!

I battled almost every single trainer on the way and spent a boatload of time fighting in the water levels and training. I took my Japanese Fighting Pets very seriously.
