Sorry, it's the best I could come up with
Made me smile! But, then, that would make Pathfinders...
No, no, I don't want to think about it

Wait, so it
isn't a D&D reference? Or is everyone else making jokes as if it wasn't?

I intentionally made it very interpretative. I did intend the whole reference to the 5e playtest recruitment thing that's been going on though.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm like Don Draper if he stopped wearing a business suit, grew his hair out and had a really crappy goatee. Also, I'm not advertising savvy... or really any of the qualities that make Don Draper who he is.
But, I drink whiskey on the rocks and I watch My Little Pony, so chicks should dig me.

I cry during movies and have to call it quits after two drinks. You don't stand a chance.
On-topic: It seems the deadline has ended as of 52 minutes ago. That or thereabouts.

Neat. Thanks, brahs and brah-ettes.
Grats to the runner-ups, but everyone's shit was equally awesome and cool. Of course, I did this and completely forgot about it. And, it wasn't until I won that realized a couple of errors that will never be corrected since I already threw out the project.
Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwelp!

Congratulations to Dead Pony and all the other winners!
Now that the deadline is passed, it's okay to post this, my backup idea:
The next panel would be five minutes of awkward silences.

I see a triple rainbow! Awwwww yeah.
See everyone? You too can win fabulous contest prizes if you just tried! I don't like seeing people posting their entries with defeatist attitudes like "Well here's my piece of crap, sheesh I don't even have a chance" because that makes the whole thing un-fun for everyone. Instead of seeing it as a modest comment that you're not trying to be snobby or overshadow other peoples' entries, I usually see it as a passive-aggressive way to gain sympathy, fish for compliments, and trying to guilt others into not trying as hard.
If I see it in any other contest I hold or give presents for in the future, I'll probably start disqualifying people or hoarding all the friggin' ponies for myself. Be proud of yourselves for gosh sake!

I'm pretty sure it's never intended that way.

I'm not asking for everyone to fake being happy or optimistic, but I want to cut the negativity out. I've seen those comments too much and they come across to me as entries that are not serious. I want good entries. If you truly think your own work sucks, go back and make it better or not enter it with a caption stating how much you dislike it. I'm not asking for much and if you're making me believe your entries are truly lacking, then why do I want to keep putting out free gifts that I buy and ship with my own time and money for a bunch of lackadaisical work?

Nums, can it.
The contests are put forward for fun and goodwill. I see Willsun's point and it should remind you of an old mom-friendly phrase - if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Being down-and-out about your work doesn't help you. Be confident and put your best work forward for your best chance to win.
