Why, hello everyone...

Name's Pulse Wave, and I'm from the same city as Perry whom I've known since late 2011. (That makes me German, by the way.) I think I've shown up here briefly before the crash, but hey, now I'm back.

My getting-into-pony process was both early and long. It started at a fan forum for another animated show (which also explains why me and ACRacebest have known each other long before most other Bronies knew him; yeah, I tend to know people, I guess), and I think, it started in late 2010 already. All of a sudden, pony avatars popped up, ponies appeared in signatures, and then there was the obligatory pony thread which grew rapidly.

It was strange at first, but not so strange since I had known all these people who were turning into Bronies for quite a while already. So I watched as things happened and sometimes poked fun at them, twice even in rather creative ways.

In early May 2011, I decided that, if so many people had gotten so crazy about this show, maybe I should give it a try. So I started with the pilot.

One week later, after five evenings of binge-watching, I was done with season 1, and since there was no more official pony content, I looked at what the fandom had to offer. Yes, I had to admit I liked these colourful horses. Was I a fan? Did that make me a Brony?

Well, why not?

The first time I got into contact with the Bronydom was in June 2011 when I joined my first forum. In July, I joined my first German-speaking forum.

So, what kind of footprint did I leave in the fandom so far?

Not that much, I'm afraid. I think I did inspire the German Brony meet-up culture, but only few people know that. And if I had dedicated some more time to music-making, I would have been amongst the early Brony musicians. I mean, I've had my first song ideas in 2011 already, but I've only released one song while the show still ran, and that was in 2019, very shortly before GalaCon. I've released another one this year while at the last Hearth's Warming Con. Not much, I know, but at least now I can prove my musicianship with actual self-made music instead of saying, "I am a musician, but I haven't released anything yet..." I could maybe start a thread for my music if you want me to plug it here instead of looking out for my name in Equestria Daily's Bonus Music posts (at least both of my songs were good enough for these).

Greetings everyone. I watched the first two seasons in 2012 if my memory serves me right. I had forgotten about it until recently when my friend sent me an old pony music video. After that I just fell down a rabbit hole watching and listening to a lot of the old fandom songs and animations. After checking out /mlp/ I decided it was time I watched the show again for old times sake. I tell you what, I've never binged anything like I did then. I almost want to rewatch S1 again and take notes just to explain how much I loved it. Well anyways, I googled "pony irc", something or other, and found this forum through a link on an irc. I'm excited to meet y'all.

Hi everyone,

I joined here in 2011 originally and stopped watching around the middle of season 5.

I recreated my account last year when walking down memory lane and remembering this place.
Then I forgot about it again.

I never imagined I would revisit the show, but when Jenny Nicholson started live-posting about the finale I felt the need to go back.
I've now binge watched all the seasons, watched some of pony life, and is looking forward to whatever gen 5 turns out to be. Should probably catch up on the comics as well!

I've been lurking for a while, and will probably continue to do so for the most part, but I appreciate y'all.

Hey there!!! I'm Sage, these forums were suggested to someone else on a discord server that I'm on but I figured I'd check it out myself. I go by Thuja on MLPF, if anyone's on there. I'm ftm, I like video games, sewing, crochet, cooking and listening to music! I haven't actually watched MLP:FiM in a few years but I stayed in the fandom for the people(the colours in the show became a bit over-stimulating after a while of watching it so it's been difficult to catch up with the show).

Thanks!! I haven't been coming on here as much as I would like to but I think once I get into the habit of popping in here it'll probably be fine.

I used to come here a lot way back when things first got going, but wandered away for a few years.
I guess I've been gone so long that my account was deleted due to inactivity.

Now that G5 is on the horizon and I find myself thinking about ponies again, I thought it would be nice to stop in and say hello again.
