Only if Fontra was using her account at the time.

Did you know that Strive never had a correctly colored "Topic Moved" icon?

Neither did I.

It did, because I made it. I rescued it from my theme repository this morning. :v:

Also I'm going to finally make Learn/Love/Race for the five people who want them.

The Bronibooru link looks so lonely without the link to the front page along with it. Oh well, maybe we can put something else there eventually.

Way to tank my argument for why we should ditch the verb themes and just have a Celestia light theme and a Luna dark theme. :applejargh:

We could certainly have these since I'm doing the work, but they wouldn't be very differentiated from Shine or Learn.

I like how appropriately you chose each example thread for the themes

Also the nut to crack on Love was to basically make it ponisilver but with a little yellow and pink mixed in. For the longest time I put it off because it was always too yellow and the solution was to instead use teals for most of the bodywork.

Also I'm thinking about ditching username colors for mods/admins/etc since we have pips and some of these colors are really hard to use on certain themes

Re: Hey the forum thinger is busted! Issues known and found.

Couldn't you just make them one uniform color since the pips differentiate between the different staff members anyway? That way you keep the highlighting effect of mod posts without the headache of having to coordinate three different username colors.

does phpBB let you do any of the cool HTML5 things like add drop shadows/outlines to text? that's one thing that could potentially reduce the need for username colors to be coordinated with the themes

$50 Patreon tier gets a scrolling marquee 72pt. username.

Not easily. The problem, as I recall, is that the color is attached on at a place where the theme is literally unknown, and can’t be overridden on a per theme basis. Either the color is on ALL themes, or it’s on NO theme

Yes you can. But again, it would have to be applied to all themes, including the ponisilver themes.

No no, I meant as in just picking a color that more or less works with all the themes and using that for all staff members. Easier than trying to get the mod blue, global green and admin red to work on every theme.

Unless I read that wrong or something, which is possible

That's exactly it, getting even just one color to look okay on so many different themes is rather tricky. Doing the same with two or three more is even worse of a job.

Yeah that's fair. I do think the colors are a great way to make staff stick out better in threads and forum view (better than the pips alone are anyway) but I definitely get it that they're a pain to work with when you have as wide variety of themes as this site does.

Didn't see this mentioned, but the notifications thingy, if you click it, just makes the notifications list stop appearing entirely until you reload the page. The correct way to view notifications is to just mouse over it and then select whatever from the dropdown, but that doesn't mean I don't keep seeing the notification light up and then clicking on it instinctively. Could whatever is happening when I stupidly click it just be disabled so that the dropdown keeps working?

by CosmogenicLily
Not sure why, but stopPropagation and preventDefault() don't stop the dropdown from breaking after a click, so I can't really fix the issue.

Please note that when this all goes live, Shine will (once again) be made the default forum theme, and everyone currently using it will be moved to it.

As before, Ponisilver isn't going away, but because there's no way to tell who actually PREFERS Ponisilver, and who is on it because Shine isn't ready yet, the only thing I can do is switch everyone at once and ask the handful who prefer Ponisilver to switch back to it on their own.

Nope! (The category that contained the Gem Mine was named "Metaponies" until the great forums shuffle of last year. And why would the Canterlot Gem Mine contain only one thread from 2011 and a bunch of 2017 threads in the announcements? :thunk: )
